Why hydration and nutrients matter for recovery

Whether you’re recovering from a busy week, a long flight, cold weather, or a high-intensity workout, your body needs both fluid and key micronutrients to recover. Hydration supports circulation, removal of waste products, and delivery of nutrients. Without it, your cell repair and metabolic recovery slow down.

What the science and practice show

While hydration alone can help restore energy and focus, when combined with targeted nutrients (B-vitamins, magnesium, zinc), you get more comprehensive support. Studies on IV nutrient infusions show higher plasma availability for some vitamins compared to oral intake [4]. That means when your body is under load, absorption might be less effective, and an IV can bypass some of those limits.

How we support this at Hope & Faith Wellness Clinic

We offer the Recovery & Hydration IV — a fluid base with electrolytes plus B-vitamins and magnesium. It’s ideal when you’ve had a period of travel, disrupted sleep, or increased physical or mental stress. We tailor the infusion based on your current status and make sure you’re safe for therapy (kidney/liver status, fluid tolerance, etc.).

April’s insight

Don’t wait until you’re “wiped out.” Recovery starts sooner. If you’ve noticed your hydration habits slipping or your recovery time increasing, this kind of IV can be a purposeful “reset.” Keep food, sleep, and movement strong, then layer in support when needed.

NAD+ Cellular Reset

What is NAD+ and why it’s getting attention Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD⁺) is a coenzyme found in every cell. It’s critical for energy production, DNA repair, and cellular longevity [5]. As we age, or undergo prolonged stress, NAD⁺ levels decline, which may...
